Persis Chairman Shiddiq Amien Passes Away

Yesterday evening (31 October 2009), the Chairman of Persis, Shiddiq Amien passed away after receiving intensive treatment at Al-Islam Hospital in Bandung for a suspected blood clot in his brain.
According to a report from the Persis Pajagalan 1-2 Website, Amien had been travelling from Tasikmalaya to Bandung on his own when he began to feel ill. He pulled over to the side of the road and contacted his family. By the time someone had reached him, he was already in a very ill state, and was immediately taken to Al-Islam hospital. Doctors attempted to operate on the blood clot however were unsuccessful. Ustadz Shiddiq finally passed away at 22:15 on 31 October 2009, he was 54 years old.
He will be buried in his birthtown of Tasikmalaya. May his good deeds be accepted by Allah, and his mistakes be forgiven amin.
